Hope everyone is well! Its been a busy last 7 days with 3 games to be played, starting with the sligo game. It was our first domestic defeat in a good while, the disappointment in the dressing room after was evident in the silence…..we were a bit unlucky with the way some of the decisions went, but that’s football and credit to sligo….pox bottles haha!!

But it didnt take long for the atmosphere to be cranked up again with chief mischief maker Bocker bringing life back into the team! Between him pouring water on Twiggys hair while he sleeps, and trying to cheat in a game of cards, it was safe to say we were gonna bounce back in the nxt game and god help the team that was next! Unfortunately for my old Club Bray it was them, where my little brother is now playing. We played some of our best football all season in a first half blitz that left the Bray team dizzy at half time!!

My little brother’s facebook status that night read “got an absolute lesson tonight” i just told him when ya play at the best club in the country that’s how ya bounce back from defeat……so the hoops juggernut was back rolling again and in no mood to stop….the students were up next, another old club of mine and its safe to say the students were thought a lesson too…no pun intended hahaha

So we take a break from league action on Friday and enter the FAI cup once more, where the club has a proud history. It’s time we did our fans proud and bring the cup back to where it belongs Also a special mention must go to hooperman he’s a taltented chap who is one of our own and just as mad as bocker haha :-p To the fans and some of my regular readers, really appreciate the support as always and would ask for a huge push as we enter the final quarter of the season and push us over the line!

Its been a hectic couple of weeks for the lads,between our euro adventure and keeping our league run on track!! The euro adventure is something that i’ll remember for the rest of my life! It was amazing to be up against the mighty juve and to have thousands of the hoops faithful behind ya singing in the rain…it’s a cherished memory! It was just as well that it lashed rain in santry last Sunday to try and prepare us for what we were gona face in italy The goal that bet us in Italy was something special from a special player and one of the true gents of the footballing world….and he had the hoops shirt on him after the game….sign him up haha

The big derby was yesterday and we gave it too our rivals with no mercy…3 zip we bashed them, there was a lot of talk that we would be tired after the juve,not a hope when were playing the bohs,and once again our fans were amazing! We went down to ten men,but with yours faithful behind us we were never gona be beaten…i also saw a couple of new banners n flags with parts of it highlighted haha!! Before the game Bocker was up to his usual messing routine, I was getting my calf muscles rubbed,when boc came in with a permanent marker and drew on the soles of my feet,and he managed to get Billys back along wit a few others!

 Theres so much that has happened over the last couple of weeks that i’m probably leaving lots out. I must mention a certain Rob Gray in this blog ad he is one of the doubters that doesnt think it’s me writing this haha name n shame only messin pal, great chatting to you last week! I love talking to the fans face to face after all these are the people that follow us worldwide now haha, so to give a little back and chat to them is great!! What about Twiggys goal yesterday pure class another gent of the game as well and on that im gona finish!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the last few days cause I have! My first taste of European football is one that i’m going to remember for a lifetime The buzz around the club at the moment is unreal!!! The trip to Israel was quality,the lads worked really hard in the game, the heat was unbelievable, so to maintain the workrate that we did was testament to our character and will to win!!

Big Al in goals has been amazing for us this year and he really showed his class again the other night!! He really is a super keeper and the best i’ve ever played with!! The feeling when Tommy scored was amazing…but the 20 minutes after were the longest 20 minutes of a match i’ve ever played in! But we dug our heels in and we weren’t going to give in easy!!!

There was great banter in the hotel we were stayin in,with Twiggy claiming the table tennis championship from Chris Turner!!! During the stay there were a few rooms that got turned upside down…and its no wonder Bocker Bayly is the chief suspect with his prank history!! The day after the game we were given a couple of hours to relax around the pool….this led to Enda Stevens falling asleep on one of the sun loungers…so me and James Chambers did the honour of lifting the lounger with him on it and droppin him into the pool which was quite amusing to the other residents of the hotel!!! haha sorry Enda!!

I’d like to say a special thanks to the fans that travelled, you really did the players proud as you sang from start to finish and it was an honor to stand on the pitch after the game to applaud you I’ve also seen a couple of the videos from the supporters at the Maldron…..the atmopshere was amazing!!!

Now the welcome home was something that i’ll never forget in my life either, my legs went like jelly as I arrived out through the arrivels door to a wall of green and white hoops roaring at the top of there lungs in support of there heros!! It really blew me away to see the joy and emotion in the faces of so many fans young and old, it was quality!! The reward for our win is against one of footballs biggest names and is a battle that the squad is really looking forward too, who we thought at the start of the season that we would be playing the ”old lady” in an European tie in Tallaght stadium!! Its a real reward for all the fans who got behind the club all those years ago to turn things around and keep the club alive so its a real testament to your work! I’m really honoured to be a part of this adventure and really hope we can do you all proud on Thursday night so until then folks….

The main focus of the squad is now back in the league, we face Galway away on Sunday,and we need to win to maintain our top of the table status Feels good saying that!! haha!! We need to hit the ground running up there in order to get the right result!!

I’m sure the hoops faithfully will be in tow to shout us on as always!!
We have training tomorrow and then travel to Galway sunday so looking forward to it!!

Great win for us today…….we owed them a batterin and no better place to do it than in front of our home fans in the Tallaght stadium!! Today was the start of a big week for us as now we start our preparation for Europe!! Im really looking forward to it as it’s goin to be my first European adventure so cant wait! It’s going to be something special as its going to be the first European game in Tallaght too!! Anyway that’s all for Thursday we’re top of the league again and competing for trophys on all fronts so keep on hoopin folks!! Still lots of football to be played!!

I’m just out of bed and getting my gear ready for the gym. We have a warm down and stretching session now to get ourselves ready for monday!! Last night was a great win I thought we worked really hard and deserved our 3 points

The bus journey up was great banter,with Ricer producing role models as the dvd entertainment,the usual faces playing in the card school,and also Bocker as per usual was up to summit,Chambers was the unfortunate one this time,as Bocker got a bottle of water and gently poured it onto his face as he was sleeping :-O the whole squad was in a happy mentality but knew we had a job to do!! The macth was a hard fight but we dug deep and fought hard for each other,the fans were top quality as per usual and were really roaring us on, especially when we went a goal behind!!

The bus home was a happy but tired one! Some still had enough energy to mess though with Chris Turner managing to get Bockers runner and take the laces out and tie it to the leg of the table on the bus  It was not funny when he put a slice of pizza on my face when I was asleep so Turner is in the book for revenge :-O Sligo is now gone and we look forward to a home game in the Tallaght stadium where we take on our Dublin rivals and we will look to keep our winning run going,so hope to see you all monday for another hoop win!!!

Top quality training session tonight, the game against Bray was really dissapointing. I think if we scored one of the chances we had earlier we would have went on to win the game!! So we look to friday against sligo where we have to put things right!!
I thought there was a great turn out from our fans on Friday and I really love the way our fans out sing any others in every ground we go too

Bocker was up to his messing again afterwards,when he caught our reserve goalkeeper Robbie Hughes off guard and pushed him head first into the ice baths, it was one of the funniest moments i’ve seen in a dressing room yet!! Robbie’s reaction and the faces he made were quality!! Haha!! Anyway folks thats all, we’re training again on Thursday,talk to ya soon

The last couple of training sessions have been really intense and full of hard graft by the lads…especially considering the warm weather the standard has only increased with lads working even harder!! So we look to friday against my old club Bray where I have a lot of good memories and met some wonderful football people who truely have a love for the game…mind you i’ll be going out to try and upset all of them with a hoops win Anyway folks hope to see you all Friday out by the seaside..where we’ll be looking to give the fans a huge performance

The draw for Europe was today and we drew the winners of a team from Israel or Armenia…geography aint my best subject so if anyone would like to tell me where Armenia is it would be appreciated!!!
The month of July and first week in August is going to be the toughest part of the season for us I feel. We have a total of 9 games in a short period so its going to be important that we dig deep to give ourselves the best chance possible of winning some silverware and i know the hoops fans will be 110% behind us!!

The world cup is in full swing…and has been very poor in my opinon. Them vuvuzwela horns really annoy me…so note to hoops fans please dont bring them to the stadium :-O I think Argentina or Brazil will win it as both their sides are full of quality and have shown bits of class!!

Our first game back is against Bray,and we’ll be looking to put the disaster of the drogheda match behind us,it really left a sour taste in our mouth and having a week to think about it doesnt help, you really want to get out the next day to put things right!!! So i hope the fans will be out in force at the seaside and be the 12th man as they always have been for us!!

The grass gate scandal hit our car park last week, with Ricer and Pat Flynn’s cars both on the receiving end of getting covered, so yesterday flynny got his revenge by covering Sean O’Connor and Chris Turner’s car with a load of stickers all over both cars, it was a revenge art in its finest moment! The lads cars looked like they belonged in the circus…or a bad episode of ”pimp my ride” gone wrong!!

Lastly folks I really want to thank all the fans for there support for the first half of the season, you have really been the twelfth man for the team and long may it continue!! Hope to see ya’s all tonight when we go on the hunt for another 3 points!! Also a special thanks to the people of Captain Americas who have given me the chance to try and give you a more personal account of what happens at the club!! KOH

As usual the banter was flying in the dressing room….with Graham Barret bringing in his WWF WORLD CHAMPION BELT only to lose it to Chris Turner via a sneak attack from behind….all I can say is Graham was HULK HOGAN like in his defeat!!!

Now afterwards in the carpark as I was leaving I spotted two of the lads…(I wont be naming names yet) :-O gathering piles of freshly cut grass and covering Ricers car in it…which i thought brought a whole new meaning to going green and doing your bit for the environment!! haha…..I can only imagine Ricers face when he saw it!!!

Anyway looking forward to tonights game…should be good, see ya’s all at the stadium!! KOH!!!

Good crack on the bus home from derry….compliments to Ricer on his choice of DVD ”The Van” an Irish classic!! The card school was in full flow too with Bocker and Bradser coming out on top….the two lads hav the funniest poker faces ever…almost halloween like and finally i’ll finish with the Gaffer and his choice of pre match music….OUCH…my ears are still a bit sore haha!!

Anyway folks…we’ve got wexford youths on Friday at home in the FAI Ford cup and i hope to hear ya’s all in fine voice and roaring on the hoops to victory and into the next round!!! KOH
